Ranger Station

This is the Ranger forest Service station in Glacier, Wa.  The building was built by the CCC workers in 1938.  I liked the look of the building.

  1. I like!!! But it doesn't look like any ranger station I've ever seen and it certainly has been well-cared for down through the years!

  2. I LOVE the cottage-y feel. It kind of reminds me of my granparents' home when I was a little girl.

  3. The rock work is fantastic and I loved the little cut outs in the wood above the porch. Peace

  4. Love the old Ranger stations. There's one on the Gifford Pinchot Wind River District that was renovated several years ago. Also CCC vintage.

  5. That was built in 1938? They've taken good care of it... I love the rock! =)
I sure would like to explore these Ranger Stations in the mountains... the history alone interests me, not to mention THE MOUNTAINS! LoL! We have nothing like that here in small hills Missouri! heheheee
