Snow Geese in the Valley The Snow Geese return to the Skagit and Stilly valley every Fall to winter over. They come from Siberia and Northern Alaska. They return to their breeding grounds up north in March or April.
We picked some more apples yesterday. These are Akane Apples. They are so crisp the juice runs down your chin---well my chin anyway. Next apples to be ripe are the Jonagolds and the Spartans. Ohhh YUM!!
Two big boxes from one small tree.
And a nice little gift basket
We picked some Italian Prunes too. They are sooo good.
I love Gazania. It comes in a variety of color and some are even striped. Mostly shades of orange and yellow, red and Bronze. A drought tolerant plant that blooms when the sun is out. We have had 3 months of lots of sun so this guy has really put on a great show. It is native to South Africa.
